In tiefer Trauer geben wir bekannt, dass Gerd Schön am 29. November 2024 verstorben ist. 

Gerd Schön war seit 1991 Professor am Institut für Theoretische Festkörperphysik und leitete dieses Institut viele Jahre. Mit ihm verlieren wir einen hochgeschätzten Kollegen, der als erfolgreicher Wissenschaftler, Hochschullehrer und Mentor eine Generation von Quantenphysikern geprägt hat.
