Abstract

A new demultiplexing system consisting of three metasurfaces placed in series have been designed for separating a set of six OAM modes coming out of a ring-core multi-mode fiber into spatially distinct Gaussian beams in a hexagonal pattern for coupling into the cores of a single-mode multi-core fiber, connecting together two different space-division multiplexing schemes for optical communications.
