Abstract

Many Body Localization (MBL) transition separates ergodic phase of matter from the integrable phase. The transition between two phases is dramatically sensitive to the long-range interaction which is ubiquitous in systems with electric or magnetic dipolar interactions or elastic interactions including the ones recently designed to investigate MBL. It is demonstrated that in certain regimes of power law interactions an MBL problem can be resolved both qualitatively in terms of interacting resonances and quantitatively using the matching Bethe lattice problem and the result can be dramatically sensitive to the relationship between longitudinal and transverse interactions. The summary of achievements and present challenges is given.
